The essential part

Your images are processed IN YOUR BROWSER: conversion never sends them to our servers. Only if you save a project do we store a reduced copy (max 512 px) so that you can reopen it on other devices.

Your Cuenta Kai (the family identity)

Sign-up and sign-in for Kai BuildArt are operated by Cuenta Kai (id.kaistrategylab.com), the identity service of the Kai family, owned by the same holder, not an outside third party. When you sign in, Cuenta Kai confirms to us your identifier, email address, name, language and whether your email is verified; your projects and your images never travel to Cuenta Kai. Your password lives there (as an irreversible hash), and that is where it is changed and recovered. Its terms: id.kaistrategylab.com/legal/privacidad.

Data we process

Account: email and optional name (your password lives in your Cuenta Kai, not here). Optional profile: gender, birth year, country, timezone and language (for aggregate statistics and experience). Usage: saved projects, KaiCoin movements and technical metrics of AI calls (tokens and costs, never the content).

AI

If you use AI features (generate design, advisor, guide), the text or image you send to that feature is processed by OpenAI on our behalf. If you use photo→3D, the photo you upload is sent to Tripo, which is what builds the model. We don't use your content to train models.

Payments

Payments are processed by dLocal Go, a product of the company dLocal; we never see or store your card data.

Sending emails

To email you we use an external provider, Resend, which we hand your email address and your name. Emails go out in two cases: when we send you a receipt for a purchase (with what you bought and the amount), and when you write to us from the help section (your message reaches our mailbox). Verification and password-reset emails are sent by Cuenta Kai, not by us. We never hand it your projects or your images. Resend processes that data under its own terms and may be located outside Colombia.

If you agreed to receive updates when you created your account, we use your email address and your name to send you commercial communications about Kai BuildArt. Those emails are sent by Kai News, another product of the same owner, and only if you gave your express permission: the box on the sign-up form is unticked by default. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link included in every email, and doing so does not affect your account.

Who is responsible for your data

The party responsible for processing your personal data is Mauricio Zúñiga Cuéllar (natural person), Tax ID (NIT/RUT) 94.060.281-1, domiciled at Calle 3D # 66 - 47, Cali, Colombia.

Your rights (Colombian Law 1581/2012)

Article 8 of Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 gives you six rights over your data, and that same law requires us to inform you of all of them: (a) to know, update and rectify your data; (b) to ask us for proof of the authorization you gave us; (c) to ask us to tell you what use we have made of it; (d) to file complaints with the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC), Colombia's data protection authority, if you believe we have failed to comply with that law, write to us first: almost everything gets solved there, and the law also asks you to exhaust that step with us before going to the SIC (article 16); (e) to withdraw your authorization and ask for your data to be deleted; and (f) to access it free of charge.

To exercise any of them, write to us at buildart@kaistrategylab.com. We will delete your account and its data on request, except for whatever the law requires us to keep.
